Christine Clancy Frisbie is a local attorney who has practiced law for more than 25 years, the last 19 years of which have been in Newaygo and Lake County.

 

In her early years, Christine attended Lake Superior State University as a Phillip Hart Scholar, on an academic scholarship where she graduated with honors. Upon graduation she attended the Detroit College of Law and during that time interned with the Michigan Supreme Court. At the conclusion of her academic career, Christine was employed with county government as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney in Wayne, Jackson, Newaygo, and Lake Counties. In 1998, Christine relocated to Newaygo County where she worked as the Senior Assistant Prosecuting Attorney. In the year 2000, Christine opened her own private practice in White Cloud where she has enjoyed being a part of a small community, while working with Newaygo and Lake County Courts as a Criminal Defense and Family Law attorney.

 

In 2006, Christine was awarded the Newaygo County Public Guardian contract, which she successfully managed until 2017. Christine currently provides private guardianship and conservatorship services. She is also a part of the Newaygo County Felony Defense Counsel, the Lake County Trial Court Counsel, and the Newaygo County Bar Association. She is also a member of Michigan Guardianship Association (MGA), State Bar Association, and is licensed to practice in Federal Court. Christine is also contracted with the Michigan Indigent Defense Commission.
